The tamping rammer applies to sand, gravel, clay, and all kinds of sandy soil compaction, but also to the asphalt sand, poor compaction of concrete and clay, particularly suitable for interior floors, courtyards, and narrow grooves such as construction sites, medium and large machinery which can not be competent to complete the construction tasks.
Tamping rammers, also known as jump jacks or jack rammers, are ideal for soils in the 13% moisture range. Regarding soil types, they should be used with cohesive soils. Clay soil refers to clay or any soil type with high clay content. This soil holds together firmly, especially when wet. Cohesive soils are difficult to break and do not crumble when dry. Avoid using the rammer on gravel or asphalt as it can damage the machine. Also, rammers are not suitable for granular materials. If you try to use one on soil like this, you'll just create a hole.
